Supervisory Physician (Clinical Director)

Summary The incumbent will provide Clinical Director services to the Ft.
Thompson.
The purpose of this position is to provide diagnosis, care and treatment of general medicine cases in the capacity of a staff physician utilizing Provides Western Practices of Medicine as prescribed by the Great Plains Area Medical By-Laws.
Responsibilities Works on a day-to-day basis with Division supervisors in top management discussions, decisions, policy making, and sharing full accountability in management actions.
Works on special work assignments Providing direct patient care within the scope of clinical privileges.
Organizes and maintains medical services and committee activities as required by the Crow Creek Service Unit bylaws, rules, and regulations and for accreditation or certification.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Must pass pre-employment examination.

Qualifications:
GS-15:
5 years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled; OR, equivalent experience and training.
Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level.
Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

Additional Information Per IHS policy (SGM 21-04) IHS selectees to positions located in Federally operated hospitals, health centers, and clinics must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before entry on duty or have IHS approve a medical or religious exemption.
